Sunquest 24SE vs 26RST Replacement Lamp Kits Compared

The real difference is which bed the kit fits

These two kits are not interchangeable upgrades. The Sunquest 24SE Certified Tanning Lamp Replacement Kit contains 24 full-sized lamps and is a certified replacement for units that used Wolff Velocity Select lamps. The Sunquest 26RST Certified Tanning Lamp Kit (1998-2001)(No Facials) contains 26 full-sized lamps and is a certified replacement for units that used Wolff Velocity and Diamond Sun S lamps.

So the first decision is not which kit is stronger. It is which Sunquest bed you own and which original lamps it used. Matching the kit to your unit's model and original lamp type is the only reliable way to choose between them.

Lamp count, facial lamps, and compatibility side by side

• Sunquest 24SE kit: 24 certified compatible 100W lamps, bench/canopy, rated at 5% UVB. Certified replacement for units using Wolff Velocity Select lamps. No facial lamps are mentioned in the supplied record.
• Sunquest 26RST kit: 26 certified compatible 100W lamps, bench/canopy, rated at 5% UVB. Certified replacement for units using Wolff Velocity and Diamond Sun S lamps. Explicitly no facial lamps included.
• Shared traits: Both kits use bi-pin lamps, are listed as home and commercial compatible, and have a stated life expectancy of 1,000 hours.

What each kit actually includes

• Sunquest 24SE Certified Tanning Lamp Replacement Kit: 24 x certified compatible 100W lamps (bench/canopy), 5% UVB, 1,000-hour life expectancy, bi-pin. This is the full lamp count for the 24SE bed, so you can confirm the kit covers the unit before ordering.

• Sunquest 26RST Certified Tanning Lamp Kit (1998-2001)(No Facials): 26 x certified compatible 100W lamps (bench/canopy), 5% UVB, 1,000-hour life expectancy, bi-pin, no facial lamps included. The 26RST kit covers 26 positions, but you will still need to source facial lamps separately if your unit uses them.

Why the facial-lamp note matters for the 26RST

The 26RST kit is labeled No Facials, and the supplied record confirms no facial lamps are included. If your 26RST unit has facial positions, plan for those separately rather than assuming the kit covers every socket. The 24SE record does not mention facial lamps either way, so check your own unit's layout before ordering if that matters to you.

How to confirm the right kit before checkout

• Check the model plate: Look for Sunquest 24SE or Sunquest 26RST on the bed itself. The kit names map directly to those models.
• Check the original lamp type: The 24SE kit is certified for Wolff Velocity Select lamps; the 26RST kit is certified for Wolff Velocity and Diamond Sun S lamps. If your unit still has original lamps, compare the labeling.
• Count the sockets: A 24-lamp kit and a 26-lamp kit are not substitutes. Confirm your bed's lamp count matches the kit.
• Ask before ordering if unsure: The product record directs questions to [email protected] or chat, and notes that returns on fragile lamps can be costly.

Shipping, inspection, and the return trade-off

Both kits ship via FedEx or UPS Ground in protective packaging, and the record asks you to inspect the shipment on arrival. Damage should be reported with photos of the box and lamps within 48 hours; other issues have a 7-calendar-day window. Because fragile lamps are expensive to ship and restock, returns may be costly, so the model and lamp-type check above is worth doing carefully.
